Issues

Issues We Address: 

1. Unity: We need to be united to campaign against the Republicans (regardless of the primary) and campaign success/activity led by you for key Federal, State and Local races (i.e)
2. Coalition: Coalition building extends beyond party lines, especially during elections. Democrats need to collaborate with various interest groups, grassroots organizations, and other political entities to mobilize voters and win elections. Crafting effective electoral strategies that resonate with a diverse electorate is a key challenge.
3. Voter Turn-out: New neighborhood are being built and new families moving into Fort Bend. We need to reinvigorate voter registration and creating voter awareness. Work on increasing voter turnout during early voting and election day for our CD 22, 9, 7, HD 26, HD 27, HD 28, HD 76, HD 85,  SD 13, SD17, SD18. 
4. Social Issues: Key social issues are on schools & citizens safety, women reproductive rights, LGBTQ rights, diversity, equity, inclusivity, healthcare and criminal Justice reform. 
5. Fund Raising: Party and the candidates need funds to promote democratic causes locally and nationally.
6. Education: Lack of investments & funding for our public schools, inadequate teacher pay, difficulty in access to higher education by low income group, removing affirmative actions from top colleges, and pile of student loan debt are drowning our next generation.
7. Growth & Opportunities: Economic inequality and inclusive growth is a challenge. As policymakers, measures need to be taken to ensure that the benefits of economic growth are shared more equitably across different segments of the population. Small businesses which is the backbone of US economy and job creation needs supportive policies and programs, including access to capital and regulatory relief, which will be crucial for fostering entrepreneurship.
