B.A. in Computer Information Systems from University of Houston-Downtown.
Married (23 years) to Maggie Haleem and have two sons, who are in high school in Fort Bend County.
- A 20-year, successful entrepreneurship as a Real Estate Investor, housing displaced families and veterans.
- As social activist serving our communities in Fort Bend and Harris for over 20 years.
- Elected Fort Bend Mud Director for Mud 35 since 2022
- Team Leader for raising funds for Bangladesh American Community Center (over 1 million)
- Since 2008 Canvassed and donated for many notable democratic candidates at national, state, and local levels
- Served as Fort Bend Democratic Precinct Chair for Precinct 1 and 3, for the past six years
- 2023 Appointed by Mayor Turner to serve on City of Houston APPI Board
- 2023 Appointed board member of created Fort Bend MUD TIRZ Board by Commissioner Ken DeMerchant
- 2021 Appointed by the FBCDP Chairwoman to serve as Executive Assistant to the Fort Bend County Democratic Party
- As activist I fought for Fort Bend County new Election maps along side Fort Bend party leaders and County commissioners that favor democrats.
- 2020-21 Served as Outstanding Executive Committee member for the Federation of Bangladeshi Associations in North America
- 2021 Organized COVID-19 vaccine and food drives to assist families.
- 2021 Hosted Honorable Ambassador M. Shafiqul Islam of Bangladesh to USA in Houston
- 2019 Appointed to serve in Economic Development Advisory Board by Fort Bend County Commissioner Ken DeMerchant, Precinct 4
- 2019 Elected as Chairperson of the Federation of Bangladeshi Associations in North America representing over 1 million Bangladeshi Americans in North America
- 2019 Received Community Leadership and Lifetime Achievement recognition from IBN SINA Foundation and Bangladesh Association-Houston, respectively
- 2012-18 Served as Chairman of Bangladesh Association, Houston to represent 30,000 Bangladeshi Americans in greater Houston
- 2018 helped FBCDP Chairwoman to host successful Democracy and Diversity fundraising Gala to raise funds for party
- 2013-18 Partnered with Sharing of Holiday with Houston Food Bank and ABC13 with many local organizations to raise food and supplies.
- Since 2012 Organizing committee member of Houston Mayor’s Annual Interfaith IftarDinner
- 2017 Received City of Houston Recognition for disaster relief efforts having served over hundreds flood victims in Harris and Fort Bend.
- 2015 Hosted Honorable Ambassador Mohammad Ziauddin of Bangladesh to USA in Houston
- 2012-15 Served in Mayor Parker’s International Trade and Development Council (MITDC)
- Hosted many Interfaith Dialogues with Churches, Mosques and Temples with faith leaders in the city at large; hosted many fundraising galas to raise money for different charities in Houston
- Organized and lead “Standing against Global Terrorism” with Local and Federal elected leaders to initiate global peace.
